01“霉霉”泰勒·斯威夫特發布了新專輯

4月19日，粉絲們期待已久的泰勒的new album（新專輯）正式發行，專輯名為The Tortured Poets Department（《苦難詩社》），跟電影名DeadPoetsSociety（《死亡詩社》）有異曲同工之妙。

整個專輯包含31 completely new songs（31首全新歌曲）。It is a big deal in the US！在美國這可是一個大事件！There were lots of news articles about it as well.（各新聞媒體紛紛報道。）

《華盛頓郵報》發布了一篇文章，題為《泰勒·斯威夫特毫不留情》，內容談到這張專輯讓人感覺dark and relentless（黑暗和無情）.

02“霉霉”為新專輯寫的發刊詞

在專輯發行時，Taylor Swift在社交媒體平臺上寫了一篇簡短的詮釋。

下面我們逐句賞析一下。

The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time - one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure.

這里的chapter指的是人生的篇章（a chapter in life）。In English, we use this expression a lot to describe the events and different stages in our life。泰勒說，

過去的階段已經翻篇，現在要start a new chapter in life（開啟人生的新篇章）。

There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed.

譯：傷痛治愈之后，便再無仇恨可復，亦無怨憾須償還。

“Settle the scores” meansto punish someone for something wrong that they did to you in the past (懲罰某人過去對你犯下的的錯誤).

也許你真的會被身邊的人傷得很深，那時候，all you can think about was to avenge（你唯一的想法就是“報復”）。但是就像霉霉所說的，“once your wounds have healed,there’s no need to avenge.” 因為，when you heal your wounds（當你治愈了你的傷口），之后變得stronger and have a better life，那些曾經傷害了你的人won’t matter anymore（就不再重要了）。你需要做的就是，focus on healing yourself first（首先專注于治愈你自己），因為your life matters the most!

And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted.
